Arizona Science Center

Located in Heritage and Science park in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the Arizona Science Center has more than 350 hands-on exhibits. A perfect place for any young one or science lover. Arizona Science Center’s main focus is to educate, inspire, and entertain people about the basics of science.

Beginning as a small (10,000-square-foot) test-run exhibit and a non-profit corporation in 1982 the Arizona Science Center rapidly found growth in attendance and an increasing demand and later expanded to 120,000-square feet in 1997. In 1998 the City of Phoenix spent $4.1 million to expand the building by an additional 22,500 square feet.

Along with the 350 plus hands-on exhibits the Arizona Science Center also hosts camps in the winter, spring, and summer, shows digital film highlights of the exploration of the moon, a 3D experience of a penguin journey, and starting January 5th 2014 an imagination playground. The Science Center also lets your host your own party there!
